This work is the outcome of a project launched by the Research Centre for the Study of Modern Greek History of the Academy of Athens with the permission of the Public Record Office of Great Britain in 1975. The project was originally planned by the late Eleftherios Prevelakis, director of the Research Centre for the Study of Modern Greek History of the Academy of Athens. It was carried out under his guidance until his death in 1991. Dr. Elsa Kontorgiorgi carried out the final revision of volumes F.O. 78/194-196 and 220-221.
