[...] The meeting between Hellenism and Christianity was a seminal moment for humanity, since after "the word became flesh", the Greek language came to express the highest messages of the Son of Man and carry them around the world. These very concepts, Hellinism and Orthodoxy, come together in Albania. Our suffering yet always vigorous compatriots experience of these ideas was and is tragic. They have lived for years with the ideas of Christ and the homeland in their souls. Torture, persecution, imprisonment, and violence in general, did not daunt our heroic brothers, who continue undeterred their national and religious course towards the destiny of our Nation.
